Liebster Award

I’m recently nominated by Prachina also known as LogOfHerMemories, for the Liebster Award. The Liebster is for small blogs (200 followers or less) just like mine. I think it’s a nice chain comment or whatever it is called to keep the bloggers blogging :) and yes, this Liebster is a great first step for people who are just starting to explore and meet new fellow bloggers.

I want to thank Prachina for nominating me. I was surprised to see her comment. I thought my blog was non-existent :D but again, thank you.

These are the rules for Liebster Award:
1. Thank the person who nominated you
2. Answer the questions given by the nominator
3. Nominate another 11 bloggers (with 200 or less followers) and link them
4. Create 11 new questions for the nominees to answer
5. Notify all nominees by social media/blogs

Questions asked by Prachina:

1. What is your dream career/job?
I still want to be a Certified Public Accountant but I’m actually enjoying my current job – being on a company’s administration office. I’m torn between the two.

Gargle :3

A well-written, highly detailed Vampire story >,<

5. Describe yourself in 10 words or less
I’m just your typical girl

6. What bands/artists do you love and what are your favorite songs by them?
This is hard. I don't really have 'favorite' band/song. But I like to listen mostly to acoustic.

7. If you could have one wish, what would it be?
To have billions of dollars.

8. What made you want to start blogging?
When my grandma accidentally read my diary O,O my secrets had been spilled (well some of it xD ) so I decided to just blog and use an alias.

9. If you were trapped on a deserted island, what 3 things would you take and why?
Fuel, Matchstick/Lighter, Flashlight

10. Describe your favorite food without actually using the name of it
The taste of heaven inside your mouth. You can't resist it but you will eventually indulge yourself to the happiness your taste buds are experiencing.

11. If you could spend the day with one person (dead or alive, famous or not) who would it be, why and what would you do together?
:) It's too personal. I can't answer that. Sorry.

So here are my questions:

Are you a cat person or a dog person? Why?
What is the thing you’ll never going to spend money on?
What is ‘blogging’ to you?
What is the thing you like about your favorite place?
What is the worst thing you could do?
What is your favorite perfume/cologne?
Who would you rather lose, your best friend or your boy/girlfriend?
Have you been out of the country? If yes, where?
Do you know how to cook?
Are you self-driven individual?
Are you happy?

How to Show Label-Based Posts to Pages

How to add label-based posts to pages? This was my first question when I started using blogger.com. I got envy with others, seeing how well they customize their blogs – with these glittery tabs and awesome effects. (I’m still envy tho xD and yes, I’m no big time when it comes to techie stuff. But hey! At least I’m trying. And sharing :D )

So here’s how to do it.

1. Go to Blogger.com and sign in on your account

2. On the left side of your Dashboard click on “Template” and then Select “Edit HTML"

3. Click on the HTML Content (any of it) and Press CTRL + F

4. A search bar will appear and you have to type </b:loop>

5. Copy this sample code and paste it after the second </b:loop>:

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageTitle == &quot;Fors: Food&quot;'> <li class='selected'><a href='http://carikitty.blogspot.com/search/label/Food?max-results=8' title='Food'>Food</a></li> <b:else/> <li><a href='http://carikitty.blogspot.com/search/label/Food?max-results=8' title='Food'>Food</a></li> </b:if>

6. Click on “Preview Template” to test it

Don’t SAVE it yet! :O

Now you have to change the Tab Title. For example, you posted about your new cell phone and you labeled it as Cellphone, Gadget, Techy, New, etc.

7. Choose just one label. Choose the one you use more often.  So lets say you chose “Gadget”

8. Now you have to change all the word “Food” that you see in the sample code and replace it with the word “Gadget”.

9. Change also the carikitty.blogspot.com to your own URL, unless of course you want to plug my page xD

10. If you want more label-based pages, just copy and paste the sample code chronologically - base on what page you want to appear in order.

I hope this helps! Good luck and happy blogging :)

BIR Form No. 2316

What is Form 2316 and why do some companies require this in Pre-Employment Checklist?

BIR Form No. 2316 is a certificate to be accomplished and issued to each employee receiving salaries, wages and other forms or remuneration by each employer indicating therein the total amount paid and the taxes withheld therefrom during the calendar year. This Certificate in turn should be attached to the Annual Income Tax Return (BIR Form 1700 - for individuals receiving purely compensation income, or BIR Form 1701 for individuals with mixed income). http://www.bir.gov.ph/index.php/bir-forms/certificates.html

It is a Certificate of Compensation Payment / Tax Withheld For Compensation Payment With or Without Tax Withheld. It simply indicates that your income had been taxed.

How to get it?

If you are currently employed: your employer will give it to you before the current year-end.

If you are applying for a new job: your previous employer will give this form to you during the last payment of your wage/salary along with your Certificate of Employment and Clearance. This is during the last day of your service.

If your form 2316 is still not available: just ask your previous employer as to when you’ll be able to get it. But if your current company is strict with policies; they may ask you to sign a waiver.

If you do not have a previous employer on the current year: please advise your current employer and ask them if you need to complete a waiver.

Please take note: should you get it from previous employer if the employment is within the current year.

Pre-Employment Requirements

I am making this blog due to the fact that some pre-employment steps were still new to me even I am on my third job already. So for those who are still completing their pre-employment checklist, I hope this one can assist you for easier completion of your requirements.

The basic: Medical Examination. All of companies require this test (especially private companies), for them to confirm if you are physically fit to work. A lot of diagnostic centers offer Pre-Employment Package which includes:
  • CBC
  • Urinalysis
  • Fecalysis
  • Chest X-ray
  • Physical Examination
  • RH/Blood-typing

For a less hassle transaction, make sure to ask the Diagnostic Center if they have a doctor to conduct the Physical Examination or else you have to find another Center/Clinic and pay additional fee for Doctor’s Remarks.

How to get Member's Data Record (MDR)

A lot of people don’t know how to process their PhilHealth Member’s Data Record (MDR)--- it’s actually very easy and you can get it right away. Just make sure you are already a PhilHealth member and you have your PhilHealth I.D. Card.

Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Ask a guard to where to get the Priority Number
  2. A PhilHealth Staff will ask you about your purpose before giving you the Priority Number
  3. Tell him/her that you’ll be requesting for your MDR
  4. Wait until your number will be called (usually you’ll be assigned to PACD Counter)
  5. The staff will be asking for your PhilHealth I.D. Card as well as (2) Valid I.D.s
  6. Wait for a few moment
